evil vs. slightly lesser evil
To the people arguing about why they believe Trump is the better option:
Yes, you're right. Hillary is a corrupted criminal. I can't stand her. Yes, she can be somewhat described as 'war-crazed'. But Donald J. Trump was just elected as the 45th President of the United States.
Donald J. Trump. A man who has questioned the credibility of a president simply because of the color of his skin. A man who, when asked about his foreign policies, failed to offer a legitimate, sensible answer throughout his campaign. A man who has made countless and outrageous racist comments. He has admitted to being a dishonest opportunist on multiple occasions. A man who has verbally attacked many people for no reason other than the fact that he simply didn't like them very much, ESPECIALLY women. He has insulted numerous people in such crude manner, commenting on their appearances in majority of the cases.
Donald J. Trump. A man who called Mexicans rapists. A man who proposed the ban of an entire religion from entering the US. He was seen mocking a disabled reporter. He has repeatedly bragged about sexual harassment/committing sexual assault (video footage of him talking about how he "grabs" women without their consent, footage of him admitting to going backstage at beauty pageants when the contestants were changing, talking about how he could "get away with things like that"). He was accused by 12 women of committing sexual assault. A man who, when later confronted by these accusations, said those women "weren't attractive enough for him to sexually assault".
Donald J. Trump. A man who has made comments about forcing the military to commit war crimes when elected. A man who believes abortion should be illegal, and women who have them must be punished. A man who refuses to acknowledge global warming and climate change, calling it "a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese". He has admitted to not paying income taxes. He has stiffed his contractors and employers. A man who scammed customers of his fake university. A man who bought a six foot tall painting of himself with the money of his supposed charity foundation. A man who has repeatedly praised Putin, Kim Jong Un, Bashar al-Assad, Gaddafi, and Saddam Hussein.
America, you have elected this man as your president for the next four years. This is not only a huge step back in terms of feminism and human rights, but is in fact a step back for mankind. The economy will be a mess, foreign relations will go up in flames, discrimination among citizens will heighten at an alarming rate. How do I know this? Because it's already started. It's already happening.
Hillary might be corrupted and "war-crazed", but how are you so convinced that this man, who seems to have the temperament of a toddler, will not be equally, if not more, war crazed? If the slightest bit of negative light or criticism can unleash the rampant behavior we have witnessed from him, what makes you so sure that he will not declare wars or unprecedentedly attack nations for colossally insignificant matters?
And finally, to the people who think that we should not be so concerned about who the president of a country halfway across the world from us is, I say to you, what kind of world do you want to raise the future generations in? Do you want your kids to grow up in a world where they think it's okay to be so outrageously racist, sexist and xenophobic? To be exposed to discrimination, as opposed to unity? To grow up in an environment where sexually predatory behavior is celebrated?
And once again, I bring you the words of J. K. Rowling:
"When a man this ignorant and easy to manipulate gets within sniffing distance of the nuclear codes, it's everyone's business."
