hi, this is apanuba!
I recently graduated from the Media Studies program at the University of British Columbia, where I brought together my love for design, writing, art, journalism, and all things visual and digital media. I'm especially passionate about storytelling that challenges systems — whether it’s through the lens of social justice, decolonization and post-colonial identity, transnational feminism, or environmental movements. I’m all about honest, creative expression in a world that’s constantly shaped by technology.
Over the years, I’ve worked with renowned literary and business magazines, non-profits, and healthcare education organizations in varying creative roles. These experiences have pushed me to stay curious, work collaboratively, and lean into the kind of work that makes a real impact. I'm always up for a challenge and excited to keep learning as I navigate the ever-evolving media landscape.
I grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, spent a year in Springfield, VA, and now live in Vancouver. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me traveling, going on photo walks, reading books that belonged to my grandmother, or curating hyper-specific playlists.
